Free Mississippi DPS Permit Practice Test Three 2025
The DPS written knowledge test for a learner’s permit is based on the 2025 Mississippi Driver’s Manual and will cover topics like right of way, road signage, highway driving, and safe driving practices. There will be 30 multiple-choice questions based on information contained in the manual, and you’ll be required to correctly answer at least 24 of them to pass. You may take the written knowledge test if you’re 15 years of age or older. 14 year olds are also eligible to take the exam if they’re enrolled in a driver’s education course, but the 12-month period you’re required to hold your permit does not start until you’re 15. You’re allowed to attempt the written test three times, waiting a day between each attempt, but if you require more than three attempts, you’ll have to wait 30 days before you can retest. Once you pass the written test, the fee for your permit will be $7. At the DPS, you’ll also need to take a vision test, and provide proof of identity, state residency, and social security number, as well as parental consent and proof of school attendance if you’re a minor. This DPS practice test will help you study and pass your exam on the first try.
